Armada

PRAISES:

WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! The most creative book this year. This amazing book, written by Ernest Cline, is my second favourite book (probably) ever (after one of Ernest Cline’s other books: Ready Player One).

PLOT:

I will try to do this without spoiling it, so it may be a bit vague or brief.

Zach Lightman is daydreaming and looking out of the window in his math classroom when he sees the alien scoutship from his favourite videogame: Armada. He thinks that this is either coincidence or has something to do with his father’s (his father has now been deceased for 19 years- zachs lifetime) conspiracy that the government is training us for real life situations by using videogames. Zach has been number 6 on the leaderboards of Armada for a long time. When a ship that looks exactly like the humans’ scoutships appears just outside of his school, and his boss steps out and asks for Zachary Lightman, the adventure that Zach had been wishing for comes to life.

PROBLEMS:

NO PROBLEMS. It is acrually a bit too realistic for comfort.

POINTS:

20/20
