Catch Me If You Can (movie)

Leonardo Dicaprio stars in yet another non-Oscar-winning role, with Tom Hanks in this true story about the greatest forger ever. While intense and sad at times this movie is also funny and enjoyable. This was perfect (in the way of no plot holes) and incredibly directed.

When sixteen year old Frank Abingale Jr runs away from home because his parents are splitting up and he will be forced to pick one, he decides to fake being a PanAmerican pilot and fly around the USA. He then uses his forging skills that he has developed to make fake checks that are so realistic that anyone would take them. Soon after the news catches on to his Panam stunt, he forges the certification to become a doctor and just becomes one. While being a doctor, he meets his soon-to-be wife and in courting her, pretends to be a lawyer, a doctor, and a Lutheran. He then has to run away from the police and CIA. All of this before his eighteenth birthday.

This is a true story so there is probably a deviation from the truth at some point but I am not aware of any huge mistakes.

Artistic impression: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Overall: 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️
