The Night Manager (Mini-series Review)

This high intensity mini series based on the novel of the same name, really gets you hooked in from the very first episode. Even after the slight mistake made by the BBC with the preorders (sending out the dvd of the series before the last episode was broadcast), this was a seamlessly made show starring the incredibly talented Tom Hiddleston (Thor, Highrise) and Elizabeth Debicki (The Man From Uncle, Everest). I enjoyed this show and waited eagerly for the next episode each week. I am looking forward very much to the possible ‘night manager 2’ that has been hinted at as a possibility by the producers.

When Jonathan Pine comes in contact with an illegal arms dealer named Richard Roper in his job as a night manager, a member of the river house (MI6) contacts him and offers him a job as a mole into Roper’s operation.

In the last episode, after the swim with Freddie, his trousers go from wet to dry in just seconds. No spoiler but the bit with the phone ‘eye scan’ would have been a lot more dodgy than it was in the show.
