This visual masterpiece is truly spectacular and is very possibly the most aesthetically impressive movie I have seen, ever. Starring the extremely talented Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs, 300) and, being very English, Marion Cotillard (Rust and Bone, The Dark Knight Rises). Though I could not understand most of what they were saying due to too much mumbling, you did not need to understand anything apart from the beginning. I have not seen a lot of Shakespeare’s work but after this I am looking out for more.
When Macbeth, Thane of Glamis, is persuaded by Lady Macbeth to kill King Duncan in order to become king, he must cover up his tracks. In doing so he kills too many people to live with and is haunted by a prophecy given to him by three witches. Now he must live with himself as he goes crazy.
Apart from the problem with mumbling, the casting choice of a French actress was rather risky but it worked very well.
