The Trust (movie review)

This film is funny, scary, thrilling, shocking, and just kinda weird. The opening scene is a rather odd choice of scene to open a movie with and the whole thing is kind of confusing because nothing is explained, you are just dropped into the middle of someone’s life with no background knowledge. The movie picks up at about half way through and everything starts to make sense. Starring Nicholas Cage (Face Off, Kick-Ass) and Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Back to the Future: Part 2) as some very odd characters. While Elijah Wood’s character is fairly normal, Nicholas Cage’s is not just weird but much worse than he seems on the outside.

When Stone (Cage) a policeman, convinces Water (Wood) to bust a vault full of drugs, outside of the law, they don’t find what they are looking for. When Water discovers that Stone was lying, it all takes a dark turn.

The sex scene at the beginning was a in bad taste, was completely needless, and had absolutely no effect on the movie.

Enjoyment: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Overall: 🌟🌟🌟⭐️
