The Boss (Movie Review)

PRAISES:

For people who enjoyed one of Melissa McCarthy’s more recent movies (Spy), then this is very enjoyable and makes for a good mindless comedy. While I would suggest seeing this if you like McCarthy’s sense of humour, I would not suggest spending £10 to go to the cinema to see it. Starring Melissa McCarthy (Spy, Ghostbusters), Kristen Bell (Frozen, Gossip Girl), and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, Xmen: Days of Future Past), this has a great comedy cast. I enjoyed this but would definitely not watch it again.

PLOT:

When Michelle Darnel, the 47th richest woman in America gets back stabbed by an ex-coworker and must now make her money by selling brownies.

PROBLEMS:

Just a little too over-the-top for my liking.

POINTS:

Enjoyment:🌟🌟🌟

Artistic Impression:🌟⭐️

Overall:🌟🌟⭐️

PETTY TRIVIA:

1) This is the second film written by and starring Melissa McCarthy and her husband, Ben Falcone.

2) The third collaboration between Melissa McCarthy and Kathy Bates. They previously appeared together on Tammy (2014) and Mike & Molly (2010).

3) The film was originally named after its main character: Michelle Darnell

4) Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, Spectre)
